The School of Health Sciences in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Purdue University invites applications for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor in the areas of Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences and Biomedical Sciences.
Responsibilities -
The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and make significant contributions to curricular development for programs within the School of Health Sciences. The successful candidate is expected to develop 2 new courses for the Health Science Pre-Professional program (premed, pre-physician assistant, etc.), and teach existing courses in Occupational and Environmental Health. This is a 12-month position; a full teaching-service load is expected in all academic sessions. Demonstration of regionally recognized scholarship in education and/or service to the unit is required for promotion.
Qualifications – Minimum qualifications are a Master’s degree in a field related to biomedical science and/or occupational and environmental health with the preferred candidate holding a doctoral degree. The teaching focus of this position also requires demonstration of a strong background in innovative educational pedagogy.

About the Department
Founded in 1979, the School of Health Sciences offers academic programs in Health Science Pre-Professional, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Physics, Health Physics, Toxicology, and Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences (OEHS). The Health Science Pre-Professional major is the largest with almost 600 students currently enrolled. The OEHS undergraduate and graduate programs both have ABET accreditation in industrial hygiene; and the OEHS graduate program is supported by a NIOSH training grant. The Wall Street Journal ranked Purdue University as fourth in the nation among top public universities in the United States.
