Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a full-time faculty member to serve as program director of the occupational therapy assistant program, including planning, evaluation, budgeting, selection of faculty and staff, maintenance of accreditation, classroom instruction and commitment to strategies for professional development.

Duties include providing academic and professional leadership for the department, developing curriculum, scheduling classes, assessing academic quality for and ensuring compliance with program accreditation, and collecting, analyzing and reporting data.

Requirements include a master’s degree; certification as an occupational therapist (OTR) or an occupational therapy assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) licensed in Maryland or able to obtain Maryland license within 90 days of employment; and five years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy.

Preference will be given to candidates with two years of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the postsecondary level; one year of administrative experience, including program planning and implementation, personnel management, evaluation and budgeting; and current AOTA membership.

The starting salary is competitive, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with excellent fringe benefits.
