To contribute to the teaching, scholarship and service expectations of a faculty role in the College of Nursing with an emphasis on teaching and directing the undergraduate programs.
Direct the day-to-day operations of all undergraduate nursing programs (traditional, BSN completion, accelerated).
Provide leadership for the undergraduate faculty, which includes continued assessment and revision of the undergraduate nursing curriculum, maintaining and developing new clinical agency relationships and clinical site development, continued development of the Simulation Lab, direct student admissions and advancement processes, assist with accreditation and program assessment activities, and support undergraduate faculty development opportunities.
Provide supervision of the undergraduate faculty, staff and other associated personnel, including GTAs, and working with the Associate Dean.
Complete undergraduate faculty teaching assignments each semester.
Complete undergraduate faculty and staff evaluations as assigned.
Provide oversight for the Meridian Accelerated Nursing program to ensure common standards and expectation across the programs.
Work with the Dean of the College of Nursing to facilitate faculty scholarships and research and CON program assessments.
One course release, teaching in the fall, spring and summer semesters required.
MS in Nursing with recent experience in teaching in a baccalaureate-nursing program with program administration responsibilities, curriculum design or supervisory experience.
Doctoral degree in Nursing (Ph.D or DNP) or enrolled in a doctoral program. Two years' experience in online teaching. Evidence of scholarly productivity.
