Teaching: The new faculty member will be expected to teach a selection of undergraduate and graduate level courses including Dietetics and Nutrition Science courses, and Graduate courses. The new faculty members will be expected to participate in undergraduate student advising and also supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
Research/Scholarship: The new faculty member will conduct research/scholarly activities commensurate with area of expertise and seek collaborations with faculty members in nutrition science/dietetics, food science and technology, and other related fields.
Service: Committee service to the Department, College and University levels will also be expected. The new faculty member will participate in departmental service including curriculum development, program assessment and development, service to the college and university, as well as active participation in Dietetics and/or Nutrition Science professional societies. Collaborations in projects or service with community organizations, other colleges and universities and/or industry is also expected.
The workload is based mostly on teaching; however, faculty are also expected to seek external funding to secure assigned time for research/scholarship activities. Assigned time will be provided during the first two years of the appointment towards class preparation and development of research/scholarly activities.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) (by time of appointment)
-An earned doctorate in nutrition, nutritional science, public health nutrition, or a closely related field from an accredited university awarded by time of appointment is required.
-Evidence of commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population
-Demonstrated ability or commitment to contributing to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and or service, and a commitment to work with and experience working in an inclusive environment.
-University teaching experience-graduate and undergraduate
-Medical Nutrition Therapy experience
-Grant writing, research experience, publications
-Work experience in Community Nutrition and or Dietetics
-Participation in professional societies related to Community Nutrition/Dietetics/Nutrition Science
-Specialization or experience in advocacy/policy, gut microbiota, or food science/related disciplines
-Dietetic Technician experience and/or registration
