POSTING TITLE: Assistant/Associate Professor

ADVERTISING SUMMARY (Description specific to job goes here): The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking a PhD-prepared faculty member with substantive research expertise and demonstrated potential for establishing a productive program of research. We are particularly interested in individuals who can contribute to research and teaching in the following areas: nursing care for acute and chronic mental health conditions; complex system approaches to management of health care across settings; improved treatment outcomes for patients with cancer; genetics of aging and personalized strategies to improve quality of life; biobehavioral (i.e, genomic and multi-omic) approaches to nursing care of patients with or at risk of diabetes; data science or advanced computational methods to improve health outcomes.

We are interested in creative and highly motivated individuals looking to advance their academic career at the University of Florida. The candidate is expected to implement a program of research leading to external funding; contribute to the organizational development of a community of scholars; and, participate in all aspects of educational delivery, including teaching across programs. This position is located in Gainesville, FL and may have occasional travel to Jacksonville, FL. This is not a remote or online faculty position.

ADVERTISED SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Registered Nurse, a PhD in nursing or related field, clinical nursing experience. Eligible for FL RN licensure.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: PhD RN able to teach across programs and develop an externally-funded program of research. Post-doctoral research training preferred.
