The Inflammation and Pain Laboratory (LID) linked to CRID – Center for Research in Inflammatory Diseases – offers a postdoctoral position under the supervision of Prof. doctor José Carlos Alves Filho.
CRID is one of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs) established in São Paulo state, Brazil with support from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). CRID is hosted by the Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP).
The selected candidate will work on in vivo and in vitro studies to investigate aspects related to immunometabolic regulation and signaling pathways in Th17 lymphocytes with non-pathogenic and pathogenic profiles under physiological and pathological conditions.
We are looking for highly motivated, innovative, creative candidates who can work independently and in a team environment. Prior experience is required in molecular biology techniques, including RT-PCR, immunoprecipitation and Western Blot, as well as in Flow Cytometry, ELISA, metabolic assays and animal manipulation for in vivo experiments using models of autoimmune inflammation. Experience in both mouse and human Th17 cell cultures is essential. Experience in breeding special mice (Cre/Lox) is an advantage.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 8,479.20 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
