A postdoctoral fellow position is available to study substance use disorders in the Laboratory of Human Behavioral Pharmacology with William W. Stoops, Ph.D., in The Department of Behavioral Science at The University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. We are seeking outstanding scientists with a Ph.D. or equivalent degrees. The ideal candidate will have research experience in the field of psychology, neuroscience or behavioral science, but outstanding candidates with experience in other areas will be considered.
Responsibilities of the position include working with Dr. William W. Stoops, Ph.D., to conduct NIH-sponsored research on interventions for cocaine use disorder, as well as on the behavioral pharmacology of a range of drugs of abuse including alcohol and cocaine. Experience conducting preclinical or clinical behavioral pharmacology research (or other related work) is desirable. All applicants should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
