Orange County Campus: Instructor, ME-MSN Program, FT Term
This is a full-time faculty position for the Master's-Entry MSN program at USF's Orange County campus.
Full Job Description:
Successful candidates will be expected to engage in classroom and clinical teaching as well as service that contributes to the School, university, and profession or community.
Master's degree is the minimum requirement; a doctoral degree in nursing or related area either earned or in progress is strongly preferred.
One year of full-time direct patient care experience within the last 5 years in a clinical area that corresponds to the teaching assignment (medical, surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, psychiatric mental health nursing, or community health nursing).
Acute care clinical experience in these clinical areas is required for teaching medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetrics, geriatric, or psychiatric mental health nusing. .
Upon hire, the faculty member must be licensed as a registered nurse in California; unenncumbered license.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Clinical expertise in adult medical/surgical nursing, other areas of clinical expertise will be considered
- Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)
- Previous University-based teaching experience and clinical supervision
- Familiarity with second-career students in accelerated nursing programs
- Simulation lab experience
