The Clinical Leadership & Management program, Department of Health & Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Kentucky is currently accepting applications for a full-time (11-month), faculty lecturer position. Primary duties will include 1) teaching undergraduate courses in areas such as Health Services Administration, Healthcare Finance, Healthcare Delivery Systems, Strategic Planning, Leadership & HR Management, and Health Information Management, 2) assisting with interviewing and advising/mentoring students, and 3) assisting with the development of curriculum within the CLM program, 4) coordinating with UK Healthcare employees to determine CLM educational needs and other activities as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Studies or Department Chair. Additional duties include participating in service across the department, college and university levels.
Qualified applicants for the position must possess a master’s or doctoral degree in health sciences/health-care management or related area with relevant experience. Qualified applicants in all areas of expertise will be considered for the position, but we are especially interested in applicants with experience and demonstrated competence in teaching undergraduates and expertise in any of the following areas: Healthcare Delivery Systems, Leadership, Human Resources, Health Information, and Evidence-Based Practice & Research. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
