The Department of Community Health in the School of Arts and Sciences (A&S) at Tufts University invites applications for multiple part-time faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer. Positions are for a 1-semester or 1-year initial contract with possibility of renewal and are included in the Collective Bargaining Agreement for part-time lecturers (Service Employees International Union). We are interested in candidates with teaching expertise in any of the courses: Introduction to Community Health, Introduction to Global Health, Fundamentals of Biostatistics, Principles of Epidemiology, and Gender, Sexuality, and Reproductive Health. A listing of our curricular offerings is available at https://ase.tufts.edu/commhealth/courses/.  Faculty could teach between 1 and 3 courses depending on areas of expertise.

 

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree (or ABD) equivalent in public health or a related health field in social sciences. University level teaching experience with undergraduates is strongly preferred.  A successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and working with a diverse student population.
