Instructional Faculty – Adult Health Nursing

James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for a 10-month, full-time faculty position in the School of Nursing (SON), which offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate, Masters, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs. Three years of clinical experience in Adult Health nursing is required for this tenure or non-tenure track position. The desired start date is August 25, 2019.

Duties and responsibilities include clinical and classroom teaching in the BSN program. Other teaching responsibilities may include graduate teaching as needed. Professional, school and university service and scholarship are additional expectations.

Qualifications for this position include the following: Minimum of Master’s Degree in Nursing, Doctorate in Nursing or related discipline preferred and three or more years of clinical nursing practice experience in Adult Health nursing. Other requirements include RN registration and eligibility for Virginia nursing license.

Tenure track position at rank of Assistant with doctorate OR renewable term clinical appointment as Lecturer or Instructor rank for faculty with MSN degree.
