The University at Buffalo, Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences is now accepting applications for a full-time position of Clinical Instructor/Clinical coordinator. We encourage applications from candidates who are historically underrepresented in academia. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track position and is designated at the faculty rank of Clinical Instructor to begin in August 2023.
The incumbent is responsible for oversight of the clinical education portion of the MS Clinical Nutrition Program including:
• Identifying clinical sites and maintaining proper paperwork (e.g., memorandums of understanding);
• Oversight for student clinical progression
• Student assignment to clinical experience
• Clinical site evaluation
• Student evaluation
• Regular communication with preceptors
• Professional development of preceptors
• Preceptor selection and evaluation
• Regular communication with program faculty
• Assist with development of program
• Teach courses as required
About the Department:
The Department of Exercise & Nutrition Sciences is one of the academic units in the School of Public Health & Health Professions. There are well-established research programs and excellent facilities available within the Department and School. The Department offers a BS in Exercise Science, a BS in Nutrition Sciences, a BS/MS in Exercise Nutrition, an MS in Clinical Nutrition leading to the Registered Dietitian credential, an MS degree in Athletic Training, MS degrees in Nutrition and Exercise Science, and PhD degrees in Exercise Science and Nutrition. The Department is home to the Center for Research and Education in Special Environments (CRESE), which is a state of the art facility for performing research at altitude, depth, and extremes of temperature.
