Immediately Available 2 Postdoctoral Positions -Immuno-Virology and Vaccine Development
The Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Immunology are Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, School of Medicine, at the University of California, Irvine has immediate two openings for postdoctoral scholar positions.
Applications are being sought from recent Ph.D, or M.D./Ph.D. graduates in the Biological/Immunological Sciences.
The project will involve studying immunity and immunopathology of Herpes Simplex virus, COVID-19, and Cancers, including development of vaccines and immunotherapies.
This will require interdisciplinary skills and approaches in Genomics, RNA Sequencing, FACS, Advanced Imaging, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Immunology and Cell Biology. The incumbent must be comfortable and/or have experience in working with laboratory animals (mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits), with human samples and an understanding of advanced immunological, virological methods and/or genomics.

Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Ph.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree in the Biological/Immunological Sciences or equivalent.
