Primary Purpose In the clinical assistant faculty role, the faculty is responsible for all aspects of position - teaching, scholarship and service. This position has additional responsibilities for coordinating activities for the accelerated nursing program in Meridian. The coordinator provides day-to-day coordination of the faculty, staff, and students for the accelerated program and coordinates activities with the College of Nursing administration to assure student progression is supported. The coordinator with guidance from administration is responsible to assure the accelerated program is managed effectively. This is an open rank position in our clinical track and is eligible for promotion based on clinical promotion track guidelines.
Coordinates Accelerated Nursing Program across the Meridian and Pocatello campus sites. Includes collaboration with faculty on development and growth of clinical sites and learning experiences for students (35%).
Teaches undergraduate nursing students in classroom and clinical sites Participates in scholarship development individually or in an interprofessional team (10%) and provides service in the Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor role (5%).
MS in Nursing with two years teaching and/or educational leadership experience.
Valid unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho.
Demonstrated ability to provide educational leadership at the baccalaureate level.
Ability to coordinate with faculty, create a collaborative educational environment, oversee advisor, advise students, oversee nursing simulation activities and lab, facilitate learning experiences for students, and support faculty role and advancement.
At least two (2) years experience with teaching baccalaureate level nursing students as well as supervisory and program coordinator experience.

Salary has been approved at $65,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package.
