A Lecturer is a twelve-month, full-time employee who teaches 39 credits per year and provides student and learning support services during the assigned periods. The Lecturer holds a strong commitment to teaching; maintains office and advising hours for students; actively participates in the university community; and does related work as required. This is a non-tenure track position that may be renewed on an annual basis. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Courses may be taught at the Union campus, Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands or other locations. All lecturers may be required to teach General Education courses. Positions are effective for the fall 2019 semester.

School of Health and Human Performance
Health - to teach core courses for the B.S. in Community Education program. Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with practicum sites is essential. Master’s degree in Public Health, Wellness, Health Education or a related field and a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and American Heart Association (AHA) certification is preferred. This position primarily serves the Kean Ocean campus, however, some travel to the Union campus and Manahawkin Southern Education Center is required.
