The Department of Physical Therapy at Augusta University (formerly known as Medical College of Georgia) in Augusta Georgia, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as a core faculty member of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Our program boasts a long history of excellence and large network of strong clinical relationships. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as working cooperatively with faculty and staff.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a terminal academic degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) in physical therapy or in a related field. Board certification is preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical/professional experience and must be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Georgia. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations and ability to work in a collaborative, problem-solving manner are required.

Faculty candidates will be reviewed with on-campus interview invitations provided to top candidates.

Augusta University is one of the four research universities in the University System of Georgia, and the state's only public academic medical center. The current total student enrollment for Augusta University is approximately 9,606, which includes nearly 5,500 undergraduates. Host to ten colleges and schools, there are also several centers, institutes and departments at Augusta University with whom Physical Therapy faculty collaborate.
