Primary Responsibilities
-
Assist in the direction, organization, and evaluation process of the education, research, and service activities of the department.

Teach graduate courses.
-
Serve on and chair masters and doctoral committees.
-
Develop and sustain an active portfolio of extramurally funded research.

Conduct research and disseminate findings to the academic, professional, and local communities.
-
Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or other appropriate University authority.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required
-
Doctoral degree (Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Science, or Doctor of Public Health) in environmental health, industrial hygiene, environmental science, environmental engineering or a closely related field.

Record of publications in peer-reviewed national or international scholarly journals.
-
Evidence of potential to obtain extramural funding.
-
For the rank of Associate Professor, a history of external research funding.
Preferences (Not Required)

Record of teaching at the graduate level.
-
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential, or eligibility to take the certification examination for the CIH credential within three years of hire.
