SONDH provides instructional, clinical and research activities to enhance the health and care of diverse populations in the State of Hawai′i and the Asia-Pacific region. Specific priorities include undergraduate and graduate nursing education and research in support of the school’s research agenda to address health disparities in Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations. The positions are designated to transcend traditional academic boundaries and focus on cross disciplinary solutions to nursing and health issues facing Native Hawaiian and other Indigenous communities.
