    The Department of Occupational Therapy at Boston University is seeking a dynamic clinical faculty member to teach and advise students in our programs. Primary responsibilities will include teaching theory and practice courses and advising in the entry-level graduate professional program (EL-OTD). Additional responsibilities may include mentoring post-professional doctor of occupational therapy (OTD) student doctoral projects and teaching in the undergraduate Behavior and Health (BSBH) program. Engagement in research and/or scholarship is required and supported.

    The Department of Occupational Therapy is part of a vibrant academic and research community that includes the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, other academic units of Boston University, and the metro Boston area. In addition to the EL-OTD program, we offer an undergraduate program in Behavior and Health, a post-professional OTD program via distance education, and we participate in the interdisciplinary PhD program in Rehabilitation Sciences. The Department has a strong tradition of excellence in professional education, active involvement in national and international professional activities, and development and dissemination of knowledge that contributes to the health and well-being of individuals and society.

    Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree, current certification as an occupational therapist, and eligibility for Massachusetts licensure. A minimum of four years of experience in any area of occupational therapy is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with teaching either in an academic or practice setting and will have an established program of scholarship.     The appointment begins in Fall 2020, for a term of 3 years, renewable. This is a 9-month appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, non-tenured. Salary is commensurate with experience.
