    The Department of Biotechnical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the University at Buffalo (UB) is actively recruiting two (2), full-time (12-month), faculty positions at the [b]Assistant Professor[/b] or [b]Clinical Assistant Professor level[/b].

    In these positions, you will excel in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will be active in service in the department and school. Tenure Track Assistant Professor candidates will possess a PhD or equivalent and will be expected to develop an internationally recognized research program, which complements existing strengths in the department, including, but not limited to, neuroscience and molecular biology. Non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor candidates will primarily focus on teaching and administration. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the areas of Hematology/immunohematology (blood bank/transfusion medicine).

    [b]General Duties and responsibilities:[/b]
    * Teach medical laboratory science courses and their respective student laboratories as required for the Medical Laboratory Science Program.
    * Engage in research activities with students and colleagues.
    * Participate in curriculum development and student evaluation.
    * Work with adjunct clinical instructors at affiliate facilities, including clinical site visitation (light travel required).
    * Serve on assigned department and university committees.
    * Participate in student recruiting activities.
    * Uphold the Mission of the Biotechnical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department.

    The Department of Biotechnical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences is one of the academic units in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. There are well-established research programs and excellent facilities available within the Department and School. The Department offers a BS in Medical Technology, a BS in Biotechnology and an MS in Biotechnology
