    The Occupational Therapy Department is seeking an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant for a full time 12 month administrative position.  This position is for 12 months with the possibility of an extension.  The interested OT practitioner must be initially certified by NBCOT and eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa. Completion of a bachelor or higher degree and 3 years of clinical experience is preferred. The person will work closely with the OT Department director, faculty, staff, and students, as well as other institutional offices such as Admissions and Records and Registration, while performing duties related to recruitment and advising of students interested in occupational therapy. Additional duties will focus on support of laboratory and fieldwork experiences in the entry level OTD curriculum and other departmental outreach services. The ideal individual must be a motivated self-starter, possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills, strong time management and organizational skills, and be detail oriented. The Occupational Therapy Department is one of seven health science departments within the College of Health and Human Services. Multiple interprofessional learning events and numerous outreach services enhance the student experience in Occupational Therapy and promote a culture of team work and advocacy for health and wellness in the Quad Cities.
