    Requirements



    Professor: A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Biomedical Science/Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences with at least seven (7) years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Proven competence in successful sourcing of research or project funding from third-party sources, successful initiation and management of research projects, curriculum development, and strong management/organisational and mentorship skills. Competence in developing high-quality course materials and in teaching the following courses at both under-graduate and post-graduate levels: Haematology and Immunohaematology plus any one of the following: Immunology and Integrated Clinical Pathology. Competent to assume academic leadership, to establish professional networks, and to maintain links with industry, as well as experience in developing postgraduate programmes. Sound research profile with at least twenty (20) peer-reviewed publications (journals articles/books/conference proceedings). Successful supervision of at least three master’s and one Doctoral (research) students is required. Applicants must be registered/registrable with the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia (AHPCNA) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical/Biomedical Technologist.
