    Requirements



    Senior Lecturer: A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Biomedical Science/Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences with at least six (6) years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Competent to teach the following courses: Clinical Chemistry and Integrated Clinical Pathology plus any one of the following: Biochemistry, Health Science Chemistry and Immunohaematology. Proven competence in successful sourcing of research or project funding from third-party sources, successful initiation, and management of research projects, curriculum development, and strong management/organisational and mentorship skills. Competent to assume academic leadership, to establish professional networks, and to maintain links with industry, as well as experience in developing postgraduate programmes. A credible record of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications, community engagement and supervision of students’ research projects at under-and postgraduate levels. Applicants must be registered/registrable with the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia (AHPCNA) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical/Biomedical Technologist.



    Lecturer: A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Biomedical Science/Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences with at least four (4) years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) and must be able to teach the following courses: Clinical Chemistry and Integrated Clinical Pathology plus any one of the following: Biochemistry, Health Science Chemistry and Immunohaematology. Must be registered/registrable with the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia (AHPCNA). Credible record of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications, record/involvement in community engagement and supervision of undergraduate students’ projects will be an advantage. Applicants must be registered/registrable with the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia (AHPCNA) as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical/Biomedical Technologist.
