    The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing is seeking a Vice-Dean, with credentials that merit the rank of Professor, (with tenure/tenure eligible) in the Special Title Series. This position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of approximately 80% Administration and Service, and 20% Scholarly Activity and Teaching, which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date on October 1, 2024.

    This position, based in Lexington, KY, and onsite, may have a variety of graduate teaching assignments, specifically supporting DNP and PhD students in project, dissertation and advising. These teaching assignments will include both in-person and online mentorship. This Vice-Dean role will include leadership involvement on college and university committees, professional scholarship, and collaboration with four Associate Deans in the CON. Qualified applicants should have an expertise in curriculum, demonstrated excellence in leadership, and evidence that supports description as a master teacher. This individual will exhibit strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. The individual who accepts this position is expected to continue a personal scholarship trajectory based on professional interests. The required education and experience includes an earned doctorate degree in nursing or related field. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of professional nursing experience. An active, unencumbered Kentucky RN license is required. Serves as the Dean in the Dean’s absence.
