Position Overview
The Ohio State University College of Public Health is inviting applications for a tenure-track/tenured Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, in the Division of Health Services Management and Policy. The selected candidate will join our team of faculty committed to excellence in education and research.
Priority will be placed on candidates with background and/or interest in teaching healthcare management courses in the MHA program, which may include healthcare delivery, organizational management, strategy, operations, information technology, healthcare finance, health policy and/or economics.
In addition to a commitment to teaching in our program, successful applicants will be asked to develop and maintain an active research agenda that includes external funding, or a willingness to engage in such efforts, as commensurate with rank. All research areas relevant to the broad scope of Health Services Management and Policy will be considered. We especially welcome scholars whose research enriches or expands on current research being conducted by division and College of Public Health faculty, including (but not limited to) healthcare access and utilization, healthcare management practices, health economics, policy and program evaluation, healthcare policy and law, health disparities, public health crises, healthcare institutions, and implementation science.
The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. This is a nine-month, full-time, non-remote position. Rank and salary will be determined by the candidate’s credentials.
Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree with a focus on health services management and policy, or in a closely related field with the degree completed by the start of employment.
Applicants must have strong records of peer-reviewed publications and teaching/mentoring that are commensurate with rank.
