The School of Public Health (SPH), San Diego State University, seeks an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) to join the Division of Health Promotion and Behavioral Science. The Division of Health Promotion and Behavioral Science grants an MPH in Health Promotion (both in person and online) and a PhD in Health Behavior and supports the core curriculum of the CEPH accredited SPH and the undergraduate public health major.

Qualifications:
Candidates for this full-time (9-month) State supported tenure-track position should possess a doctoral degree in Public Health, Behavioral Science or other closely related field. Expertise is sought in health disparities research, community-based interventions, and complementary areas. Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience working with underrepresented and underserved populations. However, we encourage applicants in all areas of Health Promotion or Behavioral Science to apply. The selected individual will teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, develop/maintain an independent program of research, and obtain external funding support. Additional responsibilities include course development, thesis and dissertation supervision, and field practice supervision.
