Augusta University is one of the four research universities in the University System of Georgia, and the state’s only public academic medical center. The current total student enrollment for Augusta University is approximately 9,606, which includes nearly 5,500 undergraduates. Host to ten colleges and schools, there are also several centers, institutes and departments at Augusta University with whom Physical Therapy faculty collaborate. Among these are the Medical College of Georgia, Georgia Cancer Center, the College of Nursing, the Department of Population Health Sciences, and the Institute of Public and Preventive Health. Augusta is also becoming one of the nation’s foremost centers of cyber security, with Augusta University’s School of Computer and Cyber Sciences fulfilling a key role in educating students and conducting research.
