Mustafa Hussein is a health economist/social epidemiologist, with training in quantitative policy analysis, quasi-experimental econometrics, and multilevel statistical and epidemiologic methods. Hussein’s research leverages cross-disciplinary social theory and analytic methodology to understand the roles policies, systems, and institutions play as structural drivers of social inequality in health, with an ultimate purpose of generating a rigorous, compelling evidence base to guide policy solutions toward improving population health and health equity.
