Expertise: Dr. Okafor’s research interests focuses on the epidemiology of substance use among persons living with or at-risk for HIV infection and other vulnerable populations. He is interested in the design, implementation and evaluation of substance use interventions for these populations. His research also involves bridging behavioral measures (particularly substance use) with biological markers of clinical outcomes in epidemiologic and intervention science.
