Expertise: Dr. Guimaraes’ interests include HIV, STIs and teen pregnancy prevention, as well as the utilization of community health care workers in marginalized and high risk communities. Dr. Guimaraes' work has a particular focus on newly immigrated, limited English-proficient Latinos in South Carolina. In the Arnold School, she teaches a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and online graduate courses.
