Expertise: Dr. Moreland’s research interests include global health, health disparities in LGBT people, and maternal-newborn health in low resource settings. She is Co-Principal Investigator in a qualitative study in lesbian and bisexual women in Rwanda examining Minority Stress. In addition, she is a Co-Investigator in a study examining the impact of nutrition, infection, and vaginal microbiome on preterm birth, premature rupture of membranes, and low birth weight in Rwanda.
