Associate Professor Bloomfield's research background and interests focus on two major areas.
She is an active researcher in the area of Interprofessional learning (IPL) and and is a member of a team of interprofessional academics who have developed, implemented and are currently evaluating a number of large-scale IPL initiatives with students from a broad range of health-related disciplines.In 2018 and 2019 the work of this team was recognised with Faculty Awards for Excellence.
Her second research interest is supportive care for patients with cancer. She is particularly interested in how nurses can be educated and supported to care for patients in the cancer and palliative care setting. Jacqueline is a fellow in the Cancer Nursing Research Unit (CNRU).
