Expertise: My primary area of interest is the epidemiology and prevention of childhood infection, particularly vaccine-preventable disease and pneumonia, in disadvantaged populations. My work has included studies of Hib and pneumococcal conjugate vaccine immunogenicity, the impact of vaccination on nasopharyngeal carriage, and the etiology of severe pneumonia
