Dr. V. Ann Andreoni’s primary research interest is pediatric obesity. During her DNP program, she carried out a small scale study using both quantitative and qualitative measures to examine parents’ satisfaction with a standardized pediatric obesity intervention. Dr. Andreoni subscribes to the Health Belief Model and the use of motivational interviewing to promote behavior change, so she incorporates these concepts into her interventions. Dr. Andreoni is also interested in health in elementary schools and is collaborating with Dr. Colleen Andreoni and Dr. Gina Coffee on a study to implement an intervention with middle school students to decrease sex risk behaviors
