Expertise: Effectiveness of various instructional strategies in facilitating language learning in children with language impairments. Instructional strategies that have been investigated include the use of graphic symbol systems in communication training with children with disabilities, implementation of parent and teacher training programs in language intervention with young children, and modification of the communicative environments as a means of aiding the language learning of children with language impairments.
