My major research interest is intracranial dynamics (for example, intracranial pressure and cerebral blood flow) and the critically ill neuroscience patient. I am not currently conducting any research. However, I have two potential research proposals that could be moved forward with some assistance from a graduate student. The research involves 1) comparing two different methods for zeroing a cerebrospinal fluid drainage system and 2) the incidence of infection associated with management of cerebrospinal fluid drainage systems when the system is routinely changed versus not routinely changed. My previous research has focused on cerebral blood vessel spasm following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. I also have an interest in evidence based practice and patient falls.
