He is particularly interested in the psychosocial aspects of pediatric chronic illnesses including how health behaviors, adherence to treatment regimens, and the child-caregiver relationship impact adjustment and morbidity. Dr. Fedele’s current research predominantly focuses on youth diagnosed with asthma and their families. He is interested in developing and evaluating family-based interventions for youth diagnosed with asthma that may improve weight status and adherence to controller medications. Dr. Fedele is also interested in examining linkages between sleep, weight status, and components of disease management in youth diagnosed with asthma.
