Her area of research includes how students learn with a focus on student/faculty engagement, generational learning, learning styles, and personality types. She is also interested in examining newer technologies and the impact on student learning. Her goal is to improve teaching and learning for both the online learner and faculty. She was recently published in the Nursing Education Perspectives for her work titled, “Examining the effect of texting on students’ perception of learning and has presented at national and state conferences on how to engage students.
