Expertise: My funded research program examines factors that influence independent living for older adults who are at-risk for disability. I primarily focus on mood and cognitive changes as well as informal caregiver support. Currently, I am conducting a randomized trial that examines that influence of a non-pharmacological intervention on disability for older adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment and sub-threshold depression. Additionally, I am examining the role of caregivers in discharge planning.
