Expertise: Dr. Andrews' research interests are cultural competence, transcultural nursing, and international nursing and health care. During the past five years, she has been the project director or co-director for three HRSA-funded projects aimed at eliminating health disparities by promoting the cultural competencies of nurses, nursing students, and nursing faculty and promoting the academic success of students from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Each project has had both research and education components
