The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Dean is seeking a Clinical Title Series (nontenure-eligible) Professor. This position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 20% Research and Scholarly Activity, and 80% Service which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of July 1, 2023.

This position, based in Lexington, KY, will serve as the College Director of Strategic Innovation. This position will serve in advancing the academic mission for the College of Nursing and helping the dean respond to strategic initiatives. The goal for this individual will be to work closely with the Dean to develop new, engaging, innovative, and revenue bearing projects. This position requires an individual to implement the strategic plan, manage a budget, and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, alumni and stakeholders in an inclusive and equitable environment. This candidate will establish high level university and community partnerships and work well with elected officials at the city, state and national levels. This individual must be able to wrap scholarship opportunities around each project, and be well versed in curriculum design, implementation, and innovation. Candidates should be knowledgeable in both DNP and PhD scholarship paradigms and how they apply to each project. Must have the ability to write a business plan with return on investment (ROI) and may be involved in grant writing and current academic program initiatives. The required education and experience include an earned doctorate, eligibility for a Kentucky Nursing License, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in scholarship and mentorship. Experience in higher education, and progressive leadership responsibility, funding of proposals, research and other is
also required.
