The Department of Occupational Therapy at Tufts University is seeking a qualified candidate to teach a graduate level course “OTS 227: Occupational Therapy Practice in Psychosocial Dysfunction for the spring 2023 semester.” This course explores the practice of occupational therapy within the continuum of mental health service delivery including basic knowledge of mental health conditions, treatment settings, frames of references, communication, group dynamics, treatment planning, and role of OT in pharmacological treatment. It explores the health practitioner’s role in the treatment and management of these conditions, and the role of occupational therapy within the interdisciplinary treatment team.

 

Qualifications

A master’s degree in occupational therapy is required. Doctoral degree and college level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
