The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, in Lexington, Kentucky is recruiting for a board certified clinical microbiologist with fellowship training in clinical microbiology and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical microbiology to direct the Microbiology Laboratory. MD and PhD candidates are being considered. The successful candidate would join an academic hospital-based practice and engage in an active collaborative research program appropriate to title series and rank. This position will have additional responsibilities in the management of our contracted services at the Kentucky Division of Laboratory Services.
The department is an integrated department of pathology https://medicine.uky.edu/departments/pathology/ with successful programs in anatomic and clinical pathology, with excellent educational programs for medical students, residents and fellows.
