The Health Services Administration (HADM) program at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track assistant professor position with a projected start date of August 16, 2024. Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in health administration, public health, or a closely related discipline by the start date. Candidates that present a strong indication of future research productivity in appropriate academic journals are desired.

The program seeks someone with teaching and scholarly interests that complement those of the current faculty. Successful candidates will have a broad knowledge of health services administration, and should have the ability to teach across the undergraduate health services administration curriculum (e.g. U.S. healthcare delivery system, health information technology, management, post-acute care, policy, etc.) as needed. Areas of desired expertise/course coverage include healthcare financial management, health insurance/reimbursement, health information management or health information systems. Relevant field experience is desired, but not required.

The individual selected will teach two to three courses per semester to full-time undergraduate students and will also be expected to engage in scholarly activity. Extramural funding for research is not a contractual requirement. This position offers significant faculty development opportunities through internal and external grant funding opportunities and Auburn's Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning. In addition to teaching and research, the successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to academic program development, and service within the University, the profession, and community.
