Job Description
The Old Dominion University’s Communication Sciences & Disorders program in the College of Health Sciences invites applications for a position as an Assistant Professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders (10-month tenure track, summer teaching available) to start in Spring 2024 or Fall 2024. Candidates with expertise in voice disorders, feeding and swallowing (adult or pediatric), or speech sound disorders are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
A successful candidate will have potential for or demonstrated record of scholarly research and publication, grant proposal writing, university-level teaching, and involvement in professional service activities.
Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related discipline (ABD considered if degree completed by start of employment).
Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification
Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates who have clinical experience, a commitment to working in multicultural settings, and/or have strong verbal, written, and technology skills are preferred.
