The primary goal of my research program is to contribute to the body of knowledge used by nurse educators who teach in undergraduate nursing programs. I work collaboratively with instructors in the school of nursing to study teaching practices, learning environments, and implications of curricular changes. Current studies emphasize measuring skills, knowledge, and clinical judgments of nursing students using a variety of assessments such as online virtual simulation scores, questionnaires, and standardized classroom tests. Methods for data collection include the Delphi process, repeated measures, and convergent mixed methods.
