I enjoy teaching the exercise physiology courses especially the laboratories. We have fine body composition, metabolic, electromyography, and ergometry equipment. My research interests have been in cardiovascular, metabolic, and body composition issues. Currently I’m looking at the impact of using a stability ball during aerobic exercise on cardiorespiratory and EMG parameters. I am also looking at the use of Bio-impedance for body composition measurements. I encourage undergraduate students that have taken the exercise physiology course and laboratory with me to work with me on my research and present some of the research at local scientific meetings. Graduate students that want to do research with me are encouraged to work on a Thesis and present their work at a local, regional, or national scientific meeting.
