The goal of my research program is to elucidate how the brain processes and integrates sensory information during goal-directed movements in complex, dynamic environments. Specifically, I am interested in the role of binocular vision in the development and control of motor behaviours, such as eye-hand coordination and bimanual coordination. My research has three main objectives: 1) To characterize the role of binocular vision in the development of eye-hand coordination during reaching, grasping and bimanual coordination tasks; 2) To investigate the contribution of binocular vision to the development of multisensory perception necessary for interacting with the environment and for manipulating objects; 3) To develop optimal rehabilitation regimens for people with binocular vision dysfunction
