The Department of Pathology at The University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow that shares our vision for excellence in research.
The Postdoctoral Research position in Pathology will be based at The University of Utah School of Medicine, located on the hills overlooking Salt Lake City. In this position you will have the opportunity to work side by side with other world-class professionals, develop your skills, and grow your career.
This opportunity will give you the unique chance to study the genetics of transmission and antibiotic resistance in Yersinia pestis.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in microbiology, molecular biology, or a closely related field and must have significant research experience in molecular biology and microbial genetics. Expertise in microbial pathogenesis, antimicrobial peptides, proteomics, and/or medical entomology is desirable.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F or as needed.
COMPENSATION: $47,484 to $50,316/year. Strong benefit package including tuition reduction program, retirement and health plan options.
